Dry baron desert lakes aren’t usually associated with beauty which is crazy because they really are some of the most beautiful lakes you will come across.

Lake Tyrell, just outside of Sea Lake, North Western Victoria, is one of those such lakes. Completely dry for half the year, the salty sea bed creates the most fascinating shapes and patterns which in this instance, caught the glowing sunrise just perfectly this clear morning.

It’s quite funny how such a minimalist scene still has so much to look at. That’s why I love the desert.
